Writer/director Hector Abaunza approached me for the leading role in his short thriller “Encrypted”. After reading the script, we met over coffee to flush out the character’s evolution. We shot the film in March in surrounding Los Angeles areas. First scene was in a swimming pool and my first time working with a GoPro underwater camera. (Thank goodness waterproof make-up is truly waterproof!)
We did the beach scenes on the first day of spring. My favorite kind of weather (perfectly overcast but not cold) provided some amazing natural lighting.
